photoMaribel came to us as an emergency foster case from New York City’s Animal Care & Control.  The ACC rescued her from a horrible hoarding situation where she had spent her entire life in a cage – never walked, never outside and malnourished. After about six months and a protracted legal case she became eligible for adoption and my partner Clément and I could not bear to give her up so we became failed foster parents instead and adopted her.  She’s the best!

Something needs to be done with the killing of a HUGE amount of animals; these dogs don’t get much time and GOOD animals being killed for kennel cough because of the cleanliness of the shelter…AND the mayor is doing nothing…is that enough??
